Battle for Xilos

The Isorian scout force descended onto Xilos with no problems. Scout leader Lord Dissik commented in a voice just above a whisper “This should be and easy one boys. Locate the builders site and relay the coordinates.” When out of no where a ghar empire skirmish force attacked from above on the cliffs. The Isorians took 2 casualties as the advanced into the dense forest cover to escape the devastating weapons. Returning fire the Isorians with armor piercing plasma carbines were able to take out 1 ghar battlesuit. The heavy firepower of the ghar was starting to take its toll an Isorian pahse squad broke and ran from the battle. The tide was turning. Then the Isorians shot back causing a ghar squad to retreat from the battlefield. Things were even once again. The shooting went back and forth for a few turns, the Isorians being helped by their high res and the dense forest terrain. In the end the battle was a draw both sides cutting their losses and retreating to inform the superiors of what they had found.
