Battle for Xilos

Concord forces made a quick advance into the center cavern of the complex. They could not see where the Algoryn were but could hear the tunneling coming in from the other side. Concord forces quickly spread out to try and secure as much of the complex as they could before the Algoryn broke through. Squad Alpha had just taken up positions in the smaller cavern to the left of center when the Algoryn broke through the walls. While Alpha began to lay down fire the light support drones headed off to the right where a second Algoryn group had broken through After a fierce melee that left the single drone weaponless the second drone group finished the Algoryn squad off with the fire from their plasma light support weapons. Alpha soon fell to the combined firepower from two Algoryn squads and were finished off in assault from the Algoryn command. The subversion matrix finally began to sow confusion and hesitation in the Algoryn forces and caused them to get bogged down allowing squad beta to secure the far right cavern, the strike command secured the close right cavern, and the light support drones and squad Charlie secured the center cavern. With three caverns secured by Concord forces the Algoryn decided to withdraw and search for relics elsewhere.
