Battle for Xilos

Mission Report:

Alpha shard deployment successful, we have secured a landing zone to further advance the IMTELs campaign on Xilos.

Shard Composition:
Strike Teams – Alpha, Bravo and Charlie
X-launcher team
Targeting Probes

After successful planetary drop, all strike teams deployed close enough to support each other while the X-launcher team and targeter probes were able to drop behind enemy lines to establish a base of support fire.

During interval one, alpha team encountered immediate ghar battle suits, quickly dispatching one suit immediately. The combined support fire from Bravo and Charlie aided in repelling the ghar suits from the field post haste.

Sadly, Ghar reinforcements were sighted during interval two. During this time, the distortion weaponry of the ghar fouled up the targeting sensors for the X-launcher for the first two intervals.

Squads Bravo and Charlie repositioned to engage as Alpha took heavy fire. Ultimately Alpha squad was destroyed by the Ghar battle suits. Shortly after the combined fire and Net shells from the X-Launcher team drove them back from the field.

We also encountered what IMTEL has classified as “Tectorists.” While they were mostly ineffective, we did reduce them to a lone survivor who no doubt reported our position. We highly anticipate a counter attack coming our way shortly.
